Overview

Karthosia is a solo card game app. It works fully offline. While online, ads may be displayed through Google AdMob.

This policy explains what data stays on your device, what Google AdMob collects for advertising purposes, and how you can manage your data.

Data We Do Not Collect

Karthosia does not collect or transmit:

• Your location
• Your contacts or phone number
• Crash reports or usage analytics
• Any data to a server owned by us — all cloud storage uses Google’s infrastructure

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Karthosia stores the following data in your device's local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device.

Advertising – Google AdMob

Karthosia displays ads using Google AdMob, operated by Google LLC. AdMob is the only service that communicates with external servers when you use Karthosia.

What AdMob Collects

Google AdMob may collect the following data directly from your device, under Google's Privacy Policy:

• Advertising ID – A resettable device identifier (Google Advertising ID) used to serve and measure ads.
• IP address – Used for approximate geolocation and fraud prevention.
• Device information – Model, OS version, screen size, language.
• Ad interaction data – Whether you viewed or tapped an ad.

Karthosia has no access to this data. It is collected and controlled entirely by Google.

Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

AdMob may show personalized ads based on your ad history, or non-personalized ads if you decline personalization. Non-personalized ads don't use your history but may use contextual signals like your approximate location.

GDPR Consent (EEA and UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, a consent form will appear on your first launch. It is powered by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and lets you choose whether to allow personalized advertising. If you decline, non-personalized ads may still appear in accordance with applicable law.

Managing Your Ad Preferences

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID or Delete Advertising ID

You can also manage your Google ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.

App Updates

Karthosia uses Expo's over-the-air update service to deliver minor updates without requiring a full app store install. This service may contact Expo's servers (u.expo.dev) on launch to check for updates. No personal data is sent in this process. Expo's privacy policy applies: expo.dev/privacy.

Children's Privacy

Karthosia is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we add any data collection that didn't previously exist, we will notify you through the app or the Play Store listing before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
